What Has Happened to the U.S. Food Supply in the Last Century?
This is what we know
The popular saying “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food” can no longer be generally applied.

Our grandparents and great-grand parents had foods which were organic. That is, plant based food grown using natural fertilizer, very little or no pesticides and herbicides. Furthermore crop rotation was widely practiced to allow the land to build up back the soil rich nutrients before planting the next crop.
In the case of animal derived food the use of hormones and antibiotics were unheard of decades ago. A couple generations ago food was actually more nutritious when compared to what is available today.
Food and agricultural scientists have been manipulating the genes of plants and animals to produce genetically modified food. All of this is being done to increase the demand and food availability for rapidly growing populations.

Another distinction between past generations ago and present practices is the fact that most food was grown locally and was consumed within a few days of being picked or caught. It was not sprayed with preservatives, mold inhibitors, or waxes.
The soil was rich with nutrients and essential minerals, yielding crops which were high in the same. Healthy soil is a living environment containing nitrogen-fixing bacteria, minerals, and is alive with rich organic matter. A process known as “rotational farming” or crop rotation maintained the nutritional quality of the soil.

Eating too much of the wrong food
One of the keys to Health, Youth and Longevity is good nutrition and of course adequate physical activity.
We are eating too much of the wrong food and the shocking result is now seen in the epidemic of obesity in children and adults. Type 2 diabetes is on the increase in our children, a direct association with the obesity crisis.

Due to these unnatural procedures employed with the focus on mass production and cost reduction, in conjunction with the elimination of varieties of foods, our modern diet is lacking in the essential healing carbohydrates and other plant nutrients, especially the long and very long chain polymannans, so important for the prevention and elimination of most of the chronic degenerative diseases that prevail and are continuing to increase.
The Food we eat is out to kill us
The most commonly consumed “vegetable” today is French fries, which are full of hydrogenated oils and rancid fats. The same is true for the popular deep fried chicken.

Commercially prepared fried foods are cooked in hydrogenated oils and fats that contain toxic preservatives such as BHT and BHA. Due to the high heat and length of time that these commercial oils are used, they are oxidized into toxic by-products. These toxic, rancidified oils and fats are pro-inflammatory and have been implicated in increasing the risk of heart disease and cancer.
Another devastating consequence of commercially prepared foods “fast foods” is the effect on our appetites.
Frequent consumption of “addictive” fast foods over-stimulate us and we feel that we are hungry, even though we are consuming adequate amounts of food. In most cases, this paradox is due to the fact that the consumption of nutrient poor foods leaves the body hungry because it is starved for the essential nutrients needed to function optimally.
Interestingly, nutrient deprived cells are signalling the body with specific requests required for the performance of their various functions or the production of new cells.
Tips on how to eat better
Fortunately, the healthy design solution for the stabilization of appetite and subsequently the elimination of excess fat storage is to simply provide the body, and subsequently the cells, what they require to operate as designed.

Aloe components and numerous phytonutrients have been shown to stabilize blood sugar levels reducing food cravings.
We now know the importance of micronutrients, cellular nutrition/support and foods that are natural immune modulators.
As consumers you are confronted with a wide range of fresh market produce and processed foods. Making the best choice possible is from the farm to your table. Here are some tips:
- Shop at a whole food market in your neighborhood
- Buy foods that are certified “organic”
- Examine fresh produce, especially fruits, for external signs of wax which is used as a preservative
- Avoid fresh produce which are unusual in size (this is suggestive of GMO)
- Check the dates for “best used by” information.
- Select processed food which have nutritional information stating zero trans fats, no artificial coloring/dyes and healthy fats
- Limit your consumption of French fries and high sugar, high salty snacks.
Here’s what you can do to prevent or heal your body from autoimmune & degenerative diseases

- Eggs: A good source of 12 vitamins, choline and minerals
- Nuts: Have the heart healthy fats, fiber and protein
- Quinoa: an excellent source of protein, zinc, selenium and Vitamin E
- Beans: Good source of protein (without the fat)
- Broccoli: rich source of fiber and Vitamins A, C & E
- Kale: Known as the super green, has Vitamins minerals, folic acid and fiber
- Salmon: rich in omega-3 fatty acids
Feed your immune system what is was designed to have
The food industry has depleted vital Immune Modulating Components (Immunomodulators) from the food supply.
These are the formulas below that I, and many of my colleagues use to fuel and rejuvenate your cells and actually heal the root cause of “incurable” autoimmune conditions, and they are available without a prescription from the formulator.

DigestaCure® AUTOIMMUNE-X® also helps stop and prevent the damage and leakage of the intestinal wall (leaky-gut syndrome), thereby alleviating the stress from the immune system.

This formula also creates a dramatic overall improvement of the assimilation of nutrients through the digestive tract, and the intake of nutrients through the cell membranes.
In addition to providing much of the language for cellular recognition, intracellular communication, and communication between cells (intercellular) and the immune system.
It’s what the current food supply and your body may be missing.
